Island hopping is an easy option amongst these Southern Moreton Bay Islands due to the regular water ferries which transport people from island to island. If you wish to take your dog on the ferry, please be aware that they will need to be muzzled for the duration of the trip as stipulated by the rules and regulations of Bay Island Transit System.
Macleay Island is the closest one to Karragarra and has shops, the popular “Blue Parrot Restaurant” and the famous Bowls Club with the most spectacular view and a courtesy bus to collect and return you to the ferry.
Russell Island is the largest of the Moreton Bay Islands and therefore has many businesses including a supermarket, clubs, hardware, café, doctor, taxi service, chemist and many more.

Bikes are available for your use – cycling around the island is easy and enjoyable.
