Teacosy
Cottage
is a very cute modern 2 bed roomed house on a large fully fenced block.
and is situated on the northern waterfront of
Karragarra
Island
. The house is fully
self-contained and includes
TV, Fridge and separate Freezer; Microwave and Electric Stove with Oven;
Iron facilities and Separate Laundry with automatic Washing Machine.
The BBQ is pinecone fuelled [And
has the reputation of cooking perfect steaks!]
All
French doors lead out onto a huge deck with panoramic views of land, sea
and sky. Guests can relax
unwind, and enjoy the
Island
magic or just watch the boats glide by.
The
established gardens are fenced for all dog sizes and clean dry well
behaved dogs are permitted in the house. [Dogs are not permitted on
furniture.]
This
tiny subtropical
Island
– about 2kms long and 0.5kms wide at the Narrow point is ideal for
fishing, canoeing and boating. [Not supplied.] The
Cottage caters for 4 to 5 persons and has high and low peak rates.

Take
an easy stroll along the Esplanade and visit the peaceful, unspoilt small
sandy beaches with stunning water and inter island views. Take a picnic on
the well set up foreshore with BBQs and Picnic tables and a safe swimming
enclosure.
Karragarra
Island
is rich in native flora and fauna and
home to a number of bird species including the Bush Stone Curlew. It
is the smallest of the livable Southern Moreton Bay Islands and is 30km
approx southeast of
Brisbane
; or an hour’s drive from Brisbane CBD. This includes 12 minutes on the
‘Water Bus’. The
‘Waterbus’ provides a frequent reliable service and permits well
behaved dogs to travel aboard. This makes it fun to explore the other
Islands
with your dog.[Or leave safely behind at fully fenced Teacosy Cottage. ]
Access
to
Karragarra
Island
is by Waterbus or Vehicle Barge. The
Barge provides regular vehicle transport and bookings are required for
this popular service. It is
recommended that guests bring their cars for easy transport of food and
Linen Provisions. The
Barge Office number for bookings is [07]

There
are no shops on
Karragarra
Island
and guests will need to bring all food
provisions. However the very close
neighboring Islands of Lamb,
Macleay and Russell
have a variety of eating outlets, [including Restaurants, Clubs and Hotel
and Take Away Outlets], small
Shopping Centres with general stores, Vets, Doctors and Chemists. And 12 minutes by Waterbus reaches the
mainland
Redland
Bay
Shopping Centres.
